Positive Energy
Today let's draw positive energy from our Lord and Savior. His birth symbolizes peace and the beginning of new life.
When things don't seem right remain positive that change will happen!

Discouraged
Disappointment is inevitable. But to become discouraged, there's a choice I make. God would never discourage me. He would always point me to himself to trust him. Therefore, my discouragement is from Satan. As you go through the emotions that we have, hostility is not from God, bitterness, unforgiveness, all of these are attacks from Satan.
-Charles Stanley
As you move through your day, attacks will be made on you from various sources. I know personally that we have to remember that evil forces exist and those forces seek to destroy us and fill our hearts with anger. The best way to fight back and win is to not become discouraged.
This is..of course... very hard to do! Try this:
Know that the issue or person affecting you seeks to contain you. Let no weapon formed against you prosper!! When that person decides to be mean to you today...look them in the eye and just laugh. Show them they don't matter!! When you receive discouraging news, remember that this piece of news doesn't define you and ignore it and rip it up.
Any discouraging or negative notions let it go and say: "God, I cannot understand or deal with this now. Please help me move past this!"

Indiscriminate Racism
Today I am blogging about politics amiss the current Presidential Debates.
I have been thinking about the term Indiscriminate Racism. Let me define...
Indiscriminate Racism - Means you have no idea that you are being racist. You make statements falsely and are not careful to check for facts.
Obama has been in office for four years and he has been subjected to defamation and racist jokes. I am well aware that racism will never die; however, when it comes down to our leader and stopping his efforts to assist our country because you feel he is inferior based on his color. This is a cycle! It started long before I was born and will never finish even long after I am gone. My daughter will deal with this as well as her children. I pose the following questions:
What happens if you consider the color brown unattractive and dirty? What will change your mind? If you mind is changed about the color brown will you wear it?
I give you this: I hate Seafood; however, I was convinced by others that I should try it. Does it taste good? Yes..certain kinds of seafood taste good....but will I eat...NO!!
Remember how slavery started?? Brown skin was easily identifiable!! The consensus is that brown skin equals inferiority...How do you make others believe after several hundred years that this isn't true?
What is our propensity to place each other and ourselves in groups rather than see others and ourselves as individuals???

Success
"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other."
-Abraham Lincoln
Success comes when we allow it! Don't want to succeed make sure that you resolve to do it. I mentioned to my daughter today that some people talk about what they want while never really putting their desires into action, and others act upon what they want and eventually become successful.
Make a plan...and set it in action! Be what you want to become!
